FAQ

No. There are some I haven't made available on my site for various reasons, usually privacy concerns. The material I don't have posted here is only about 5% of the whole though, so you aren't missing much.
In case you missed it, I wrote a tutorial to help a beginner custom-paint their Nerf toys.

I do play World of Warcraft when I get the time. I'm on two or three servers, pretty much always as 'Animakitty' if you want to find me. I'm most active on Shadowsong, where I have a 40+ Paladin. Yeah, I'm still pretty much a noob. :) I may also show up on EVE online at some point.
I started out by writing short stories in a paper journal, when I was bored. Later when I got a computer I started writing stories with word processors. Most of the time I just sat down in the evening, and started typing. I usually had a specific act, a certain scene I wanted to write, and I just built a simple framework around it to make a story. Later I complicated things by brainstorming, writing outlines, that kind of thing. That helps when you're writing a story with an actual plot, versus erotica with just enough plot to create a setting/atmosphere.
Inspiration can come from anything, literally. Often in class, I hear or read something that sounds like it would make a great premise for a story. Television and movies are occasionally inspiring, but not conceptually; they inspire certain details. I try to be as original as I can when I write. I don't like being able to pick things out from someone's work that are obviously transplanted from something else, so I don't want others to be able to do that with my own writing.
Imagery is almost a religion to me. More than nearly anything else, I want to grab my reader and haul them into the scene. I try to trigger personal memories they may have with certain words, or just try and directly simulate the experience as I imagine it would be through all five senses. Taste, scent, and sound are neglected in a lot of writing. We may not consciously notice all of these details, but they are there, and without them a scene is flat and lifeless.
Probably not. I'm very busy with school and work, and I have several half-finished stories I have little motivation to work on. If I can't muster the energy to finish my own stories that I'm excited about, it isn't likely I'll be able to muster the will to write something for another on request. The thought of taking commissions is depressing, given how long it's been taking me to finish projects in recent years.
I'm sure some of the people visiting this site are wondering this. To tell you the truth, I don't know. Why do I like the things I do? Why do I find such strange and scary things appealing? Well, fetishes never do make any sense. Would you be as horrified if I were a foot-fetishist, for instance? One must realize that just because someone enjoys fantasizing about something it isn't going to manifest in real life as illegal behavior. I get squeamish about the thought of being a doctor not because of the blood and guts involved, but the terrible responsibility of holding a fellow human's life in my hands. If I get sick at the idea of surgery, how likely is it I'm going to try to make my fantasies a reality?
If you're more concerned about the Nerf gun thing, I can only hide behind the umbrella excuse of 'It's shiny!' as well as a typical male fascination with weapons. :)
I see myself as someone my parents, churches, religious schools, and Christian friends have failed to shape into the model man. I chose to let myself be molded by geeks and freaks, and that's how I appear today.
